Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Barz 3D Rapid Prototyping LLC ("Barz 3D," "we," "us") is a 3D printing service based in South Elgin, Illinois. These terms govern quotes, orders, and deliveries placed through barz3d.com.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes generated by uploading an STL file reflect our best estimate of material, machine time, and labor cost at the time of upload, based on either Bambu Studio slicing output or a geometric estimate when slicing is unavailable. Quotes are valid for 30 days from issuance. Manual/slider estimates on the site are ballpark figures only and are not binding.

3. Deposits and payment

A 50% deposit is collected via Stripe at the time of order to begin production. The remaining balance is due upon delivery. We do not store your card details — all card processing is handled directly by Stripe.

4. Cancellations and refunds

[DRAFT — needs your input] Orders may be canceled for a full deposit refund before printing has started. Once printing has begun, the deposit covers material and machine time already committed and is non-refundable, except at our discretion. Contact quotes@barz3d.com to request a cancellation.

5. File handling

Uploaded STL files used only for generating a quote are deleted immediately after processing and are never retained. Files attached to a paid order are kept only until the order is fulfilled, and are automatically deleted after a limited retention period. We do not share, reuse, or repurpose customer files.

6. Delivery

We currently deliver locally within the Fox Valley / Kane County, Illinois area. Estimated delivery dates are provided at time of order and confirmed by phone or email within one business hour of deposit payment. Delivery timing is an estimate, not a guarantee.

7. Limitation of liability

[DRAFT — needs your input] Parts are provided as specified by the customer-supplied file; we are not responsible for design defects in the uploaded model. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected order.
